Prison rape occurs in every country of the world... (google is fairly easy to operate)

As a federal conviction, he'll go into the federal prison system which generally has less prisoner on prisoner violence, of all types. He'll likely be placed in protective custody separated from other prisoners, but that also usually means 23 hours per day of in-cell confinement alone.

Another aspect of the federal prison system is the absence of parole/early release. His 10 year prison sentence will mean 120 months, to the day, behind bars.

no I'm saying that most of the posters are as bad as he is if they propound their barbaric and unjustified suggestions - do you really go round "bashing" people????/

It took hundreds of years (not to mention blood sweat and tears) for the west to develop it's systems of justice complete with checks and balances - where were you when all this was happened.

"Bashing" is called assault in most countries and is illegal -

Looked at rainmans link and its not him.

do you go round bashing people? no.

The guy I am talking about was stalking an 8 year old girl In Cambodia and she was cornered behind a car hiding from him and terrified. What would you have done?

Sure in western countries you would not do this as it would not be happening in the first place. Personally I ever see what I was witnessing happening again I would do the same.

As for most countries, well maybe its illegal, but in Cambodia with just cause such as this or theft its perfectly legal.

Whatsmore, had it have been motivated locals they would have killed him instead.

Accordingto your twisted logic then you beathim up to protect him from the locals

- clearly a couple of millennia of civilization has totally missed you -

Youre right. I am a bad man. Next time I will take your advice and aproach pedophile with smile and charm and say "please nice mr pedophile can you leave that terrified little girl alone" and then I will turn my back with my dignity in tact.

Maybe thats the aproach you would like others to have if you have a young daughter and she ever needed help.

The US system is a bit more brutal. Not excusing what the guy did, but responsibility of the state is to treat prisoners in a human way regardless of his crime.

Here's an interesting website on the state of prisons in the US, and the things that bloke is most likely going to have to endure.

The authorities in charge of the prison system encourage rape and violence against inmates in order to easily control them.

They are the biggest criminals around. :o

We've discussed this ad nauseum for a year or two on ThaiVisa (see prior threads), and we've had the chance to repeat ourselves again. Topic closed.
