In the field of medicine they call this an unusual electric wave in the brain. That is, we do not know how this wave arises; it makes the thing that we are doing at a particular point in time vaguely resemble something that already happend in the past but, we cannot remember exactly when it happened. It is my belief, however, that what we call "deja vu" is an emotional experience that can happen to anyone at anytime. That is, [these things happen] in a parallel universe or are events that may have occured in the long past (or even in prior lives).l This [notion] is similar to the Theory of Relativity of [Albert] Einstein. Anything at all that happened in the past will come back and occur again as if we returned to a former life or former lives.

While not quite with the simplicity of the personal "deja vu", Thai does have a version of "History repeats itself."

From Lexitron: "ประวัติศาสตร์ซ้ำรอย [bprà-wàt-dtì-sàat sám roi] [N] History repeats itself [modified slightly from the original]

Syn. เรื่องซ้ำรอย

Def. เรื่องราวที่เกิดขึ้นเหมือนอย่างที่เคยเกิดมาแล้ว.

"Events that occur which are similar to those that occurred previously."

Sample from Matichon 18 October 2006: ความจริงครูบาอาจารย์ท่านสอนว่าไม่มีประวัติศาสตร์ซ้ำรอยหรอกเพียงแต่มีรูปแบบ (Pattern) ที่คล้ายกันพอจะจัดเป็นกระบวนทัศน์ (Paradigm)
