Student Visa

Featured Replies

Does a Student Visa have SIMILAR restrictions to a Work Permit ??

That is >> does a Student Visa state a Restriction as to the Course and University or College

OR - Having obtained a Student Visa - for example for Learning Thai Language

thru one of the Colleges that Advertise on ThaiVisa ...

Can a Student then Register for an Additional completely different course

- say Computer Course under the SAME Student Visa

In order to obtain the ED visa, you need to provide proof that you have been accepted onto a language school, college or university course. At your next renewal of this visa (usually 90 days for a language school), you need to provide a letter from the school that you are still attending.

The visa stamp does not specify the school/college that you are attending. However, I would assume that questions would be asked at immigration if you go for a renewal and are attending a different school. But provided that you can get the relevant proof from your new school, I would not think there would be a problem to get another 90 days.

I believe you said you were on a grandfathered retirement extension yourself so suspect you are asking for someone else?
