Multi Entry Visa - Melbourne Thai Consul

Hi All,

Apologies in advance if my query has already been answered elsewhere in the forum, however after much searching & reading I'm still confused.

I plan to travel to Phuket (on a one way ticket) in November and buy a small business with approx $40K AUD (1.1M THB) to invest. I've been to Phuket many times on a tourist visa but will obviously want a 1 year multi-entry visa as I now plan to live there. (I'm 40yo and single)

I'd appreciate anyone being able to advise me on how to approach this with the Thai Consul in Melbourne:

Are they likely to issue a 1 year multi-entry to someone looking for a business opportunity?

What category of visa should I be applying for?

What type of documentation will they require?

If unlikely, are there any other options?
