Hi

We have a cousin going top spend the next 4 to 8 weeks in BKK, and I wonder where to house him for about 6000TBH a month without making a long term rental contract.

Any guest house or short term appartment you could think of close to the Skytrain or the underground ? I'd rather spare him very seedy neighbourhoods like Ngam Dupli or Klong toey, or too out centered like KSR.

Any advice?

Cheers

Luis

the best to look in your local neigbourhood, within walking distance, if you want to see your brother often - even if your place is further from the public transport. I would think finding a small basic appartment for 6k/month is not a problem anywhere in Bangkok, but house for that short period and small money is immpossible within Bangkok. Anyway, most probably he doesn't need a house if he is alone.

In Pratunam at Juldis condo on Petchburi Soi 19 at the end. They have nice (small) one room studios for 5500 per month. Interesting mix of local and such living there. I put a friend up there before he had no problems. Years ago it was the original luxury condo when built in around 1970 It's good for public transport but a good walk to the Skytrain BTS (Rajtevee) but near to Central World. Has a pool as well. Next door is Juldis Mansion not to be confused with Juldis condo as they are different management but built at the same time.

I used to hang outin this area years back and it was OK when living on this bidget.

Our cousin actually checked in a hotel in Yaworat and is starting school tomorrow within walking distance. I guess he's more comfortable at the moment staying in Chinatown . Any tip on appartments in this area, as he's supposed to spend a lot of time in BKK in the future?
