Natural progression, really. After all, if the production of Marmite is anything like Vegemite (and I understand that it is), it is made from the waste product of beer brewing. Perhaps a Guiness-based Marmite has its own distinctive flavour? BTW, I think that you will find a priceless expression on the face of your wife/gf if she is Thai and you offer her a taste of Marmite/Vegemite.
