I really don't understand what every one is so fired up about.

Saudis have been warned about the possibility that food served in Thailand may not be Halal. So Saudis may think twice about visiting here because of the risk of consuming non-Halal food, fair enough. As far as I know Thai Muslims do not place great importance on consuming Halal food. In fact, I know several Thai Muslims who drink, when not in the company of other Muslims.

As to all the name calling and such; whats the big deal? I just don't see how the article has incited people this much. It basically says: if you are Muslim be warned that Thailand may not have the Halal food that the Islamic religion dictates. If potential Saudi tourists are so concerned about this the don't come, I am sure that they can find a destination that will cater to their needs.

As far as I am concerned the issue really has nothing to do with non-Muslim tourists or residents.
