This is not quite what I thought it would be. It reminds me of why dogs like some people, ignore other people and hate a few people. I used to buy noodle soup from an old lady on Sukhumvit. She had a nice friendly old dog. Maybe one out of a hundred people the dog just didn't like. I'm talking about growling, barking and snapping jaws. Most of them crossed the street because of that dog. I always got a nice greeting from the old dog and normally an extra big serving from the old lady. The old lady told me the dog knows the difference between good people and no good people. I liked the old dog and maybe he knew it.

I had a shepherd-labrador mix that barked when anyone came to the door - unless they were black. (I'm not).

Racist bitch, but a great dog.

As for dogs who can tell good people from bad, maybe so. Often they just sense the owner's feelings. It's kind of troublesome when you are trying to be nice with someone you don't like and the dog is acting distrustful.

Have had a soi dog chase me on my bike as I leave home. Always snapping at my legs.

Made up some chili water and but it in a sprayer and used it on the dog.

Response from dog was very gratifying. Now, when it sees me, it hides :o

Thanks for an absolutely brilliant idea.
