I know this is a horribly n00bish question, but I could anyone help me with this? I just got my 12 month, multiple entry non-immigrant B, from the Thai consulate in the States. I have not entered Thailand yet and I heard something about a requirement to enter the country within 30 days of visa issuance. Is this true?

No.

It should say "enter before" and date.

So you can enter before this date and get a 90 days stamp, even if it's the last date on the visa.
