We are planning to cross the border to Laos via Nong Khai for a short visit.

Do citizens of Asean countries require a visa to Laos?

If required, can visas be issued at Nong Khai?

Will appreciate your valuable comments and advice.

visas are available in NK right near the bridge entrance, they are also available in Khon Kaen.

Dont know what your visa status is but I did read recently of people having trouble when entering Thailand at Nong Khai (being asked for onward travel tickets etc).
