chicowoodduck
I give my wife 50000 Thb every month, she pays everything, gives money to her family in the village, every month she puts about 10000 to bank account. I think not bad. As my dad would say, "Son, that's a keeper!"
dumspero
Oops. Correction on a particular fact. A retired LTC with 22 or so would make about $4k US/mo, and that's only about 120k baht and not 160k. So he could easily still clear $5-6k/mo including investments, but screwed up on the baht conversion this a.m. on the pension component. No one way to live life. But only one correct way to do arithmetic....
NovaBlue05
The amounts of money alone isn't so interesting. If you have it to spend, more power to ya. What is more interesting is details on the lifestyle or rather how it is spent....especially if you don't have obligations such as child education or domestic help, etc. You can spend a lot on travel but that isn't necessarily specific to Thailand as you would likely still have that expense whether you lived in Thailand or Hong Kong or Signapore. astral
It is certainly interesting to see the numbers of high rollers. Good luck to them.
