Any who know if Hull issue NON O visa to peole from other countries ?

In my home country in Europa they're very strict, only issue Single or double entry TR visa.

With the latest crack down and red stamps given anywhere, I'm looking for other place to apply for a new visa for Thailand.

Even a multiple TR visa would be better that nothing ( read Visa run)

Yes they do, here is living proof. I got a Multiple Non-O-Visa in August this year. I went to Hull personally, stayed with the facts when filling-in the application (visiting friends, looking into retirement, using my Swiss home address). Read the PDF-file in their Visa Application Pack (point 2) of their homepage and submit Application Form, Self-Certification Guarantee Form and Payment Form together with a recent picture of you and that should do it.

Since I do not know where you come from, I just recommend a financial statement from your local bank in English in your pocket would not be a bad move, just in case. But I can also tell you that there were no questions asked whatsoever.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Nearest airport to Hull is Humberside Airport, but you'd need to hire a car to get to the Embassy from there or take a (very expensive) taxi. And the only international flights are from Amsterdam.

A better option would be Manchester Airport, as there is a train route from the airport to Hull (change train at Manchester Piccadilly). You'll need to get a taxi from Hull station, though, as the embassy is in Hessle (about 5 miles away). I'm sure there are direct flights from all Scandi countries to Manchester. There are also heaps of cheap hotels in Hull.

Hope this helps.

"or take a very expensive taxi" - how much are we talking about ?

Are little worried about your 2. idea (Train Manch. airport - change at Manch. Picad.) since 'm not familiar with the area.

Any better option in my situation ? Only need a kind Consulate to get to, as easy as possible.

My dear, it seems that you are not that an experienced traveller. If you can place a message on Thaivisa you should be

able to plan a flight from BKK to Heathrow or even Manchester. And you should know that flying in Europe is not that expensive.

In Manchester you rent a car, drive over to Hull (approx. 170 km one way) and you will very likely get that visa within 5 min. after

arrival. And who said you had to be 50 for a Multiple Non-O-Visa.

Then you drive back to Manchester the same day, stay overnight in a hotel nearby the airport and take your connecting flight the

the next day to whereever you want.

Now please read the Hull homepage I mentioned earlier, take that guarantee letter and Thai bank statement with you,

but most likely you will not need them.

You don't say for what reason you want a long stay in Thailand but...

Considering the expense of travelling to UK, car hire, taxis, hotels etc. I would think with all the budget travel in Asia these days it would be a lot cheaper to arrange your visas in Thailand's neighbouring countries. After all even with a multi entry Non Imm visa you will still have to make trips to a border, you may as well do the extra few kilos to a consulate and get a new visa.

Check this forum for the latest on which nearby consulates are currently issuing with ease.

The only way to make getting the visa in UK viable would be if you booked your trip to Thailand from UK and went to UK to get the visa on your way to the flight to Thailand. I believe prices out of UK are much more competitively priced than out of Scandinavia

Lets say that going to "neighbouring contries" is already done, and " a red stamp" saying "not more visa here" etc .............

This why I must go outside Asia.

My reason for long stay : been living here almost 10 years, but not 50 yrs yet.

My Dear :D maybe I am not an exp. traveller after been in asia region for aprox 10 years, neither am I an UK citizen. nor have i've been in UK last 20 +yrs , so I might be an unexperienced traveller. sorry for that. Still I hope somebody would "mercy" me, and tell me the easiest way to a new visa outside asia region.

Rent a car ??? Drive 170 km x 2 ways ??? dont sound very easy, in my humble opinion. (must have a valid Driver lisence, must have a valid credit card for rent the car, must drive 2 hours each way .........

Thank you for your response anyway Dear :o

have looked in many maps, not seen "Humberside" in any map so far.

Lets try a new post :

In UK, where can I find a Thai consulate, near Airport, not include London !

I repeat: must be near airport, and a "friendly" consulate :o

The Thai consulate in birmingham would be reasonably close to birmingham airport via a taxi. I have no idea if they are friendly or not.

I know hull are friendly and if it was me making the journey i would probably go to hull as the safe option. It may be a more difficult journey but as a previous poster said fly to manchester and then get a train to hull, not that difficult.

If you could Fed Ex your passport to Hull and have some sort of prepaid return service or arrange for Fed Ex to pick it up from Hull then that might do the trick. Hull are very good at answering questions by email.

You can do the trip from London and the cheapest way is this (all prices approximate but I have done this last March):

Fly into Heathrow

Tube to Kings Cross (every few minutes) - day card - £7

Train to Hull (www.trainline.com) - £40 return, perhaps £50

Taxi from the train station to the Consulate - print out their map

Taxi waits - they get jumpy as they are not used to "big" trips

Taxi back to train station - all in price about £25 (ask for a price telling them you will be there about 20 mins - it is in the middle of no-where with no return taxis around)

Train to London - paid

Tube to Heathrow - included in day ticket

Fly wherever you want

You can substitute the Heathrow Express instead of the tube but you have to get from Paddington in the North West of London to Kings Cross - taxi about £20

Flying into Manchester I think there are direct or easy change trains from the airport to Hull. Flying into Humberside airport is difficult and expensive with the only real connecting airport Schipol in Amsterdam.

I had this initiary confirmed as acceptable from Hull:

Go to Cambodia (or out of Thailand anyway)

Send passport to friend in UK

He posts to Hull

They return to him

He sends to me

I re-enter Thailand

All they want is the Thailand exit stamp.

If it was me, I'd be emailing Hull. I would, if acceptable, Fed Ex or similar the passport to them. They will accept credit cards and all the forms are available online. They then Fed Ex back to me.
