Hand grenade discovered at residence across from Government House

Police authorities revealed that earlier this morning they received a report of a suspicious grenade like object at 465/2 Nakornsawan Road which is directly across from the Government House. Authorities informed tenants of the residence that they had discovered an MK2 hand grenade that still had its pin intact.

The grenade was discovered in the kitchen located in the rear of the house by an employee of the residences establishment.

Bomb squad authorities handled the grenade and revealed that it was still in working condition. Authorities have not stated any motives or origin for the device.

Grenade found in shop near Government House

An M72 hand grenade was found inside a shop near Government House, police said.

Police said workers, who were renovating the shop on Nakhon Sawan Road near Nang Loeng Intersection not far from Government House, found the grenade wrapped and left on amulet shelf in the kitchen.

Police were alerted and rushed to dispose the bomb.

Police said the bomb's safety pin was intact.
