That's the hotel now on our company list - I do rather enjoy the buffet there and when they upgrade me to the very large suite.

I expect that we will be eating there more frequently in the future as we have bought a unit in the Athenee Residence. For the past 7+ years we have lived by the river so my 'buffeting' has usually been at the Oriental, Shangri-La, Pen, and the Hilton.

I am staying there again in mid-Jan and have managed to extend it to a week.

I arranged a workshop in Manaila in December but some people were reluctant to work a weekend just before Christmas so I have tacked it onto the BKK January meeting - much better buffe and I get to spend my birthday in a suite at the Athenee :o
