They sell them everywhere in the U.S. They come in little cans they spray fog into the room (best not to be around at that time). The chemical kills dead just about every insect in the room. I love them because they keep killing and you can pretty much guarantee yourself insect-free for months and months.

Obviously chemicals don't bother me.

when I was a young lad, we used to get "sulphur candles" to fumigate rooms.

The room was sealed, the candle placed inside, then lit.......we then left the room very quickly....

After several hours , we would open the room, and unseal it, and everything inside would be dead....

it is not necessary to buy candles, as powdered sulphur ,placed on a metal plate, and lit, will do just as well....it really works...

Dunno, those are really fine aerosol, not smoke. Now THESE babies, they smoke, hangs in the air. Little water goes in a cup supplied, ya drop em in and it starts smoking and you clear OUT. Pyrethrins, synthesized chysanthemum. Same stuff in liquid will treat clothing or mosquito netting and make the bugs drop dead but NOT affect you. I'm bringing two of these with me, IF I find any in Bkk, I"ll post. Might try Home Pro I spose.

Not sure if you can buy the cans yourself but there are pest control companies that do fogging here, my ex neighbour's have it done every couple of months.

I import then when I return from trips to America. There are two basic types of "insect foggers":

(1) aerosol spray, where the spray button latches in the down position so it sprays until the can is empty, and

(2) dry smoke foggers, which are set it in shallow water (usually in the container the fogger comes in) and it give off white smoke

I prefer the dry smoke because it leaves little, if any, residue. The aerosol sprays can leave a greasy film everywhere -- and I mean everywhere -- and the film is toxic.

ONE TIME, in Bangkok I found the dry smoke foggers at Tops supermarket in Central Rama III. Recently on evening television, during Thai soap dramas, I have seen commercials for what I think is a dry smoke fogger. The commercial seems to only show roaches, but I would think it would kill everything.

Oh, BTW, if you have fish you need to cover the tank/bowl to avoid killing them. And, cats, dogs, birds and other pets need to be removed from the targeted area, as well.

When I use the dry smoke foggers, I put a note on my front door when I leave. Someone seeing a house/condo full of smoke might call the fire department. Also, be sure to turn off any smoke detectors.

For those more visually-oriented, here's a typical smoke fogger and the instructions:
