Dear all,

I need a professional person to solve this problem out for me, Thanks in advance.

I am a qualified full-time Japanese teacher in one of Private school in Bangkok; I entered to Thailand with a single 90 days Non-immigration type B visa on 1 of September. My visa is expired on 29 of November.

My school has no specific person work on Teacher license and Work permit. An agent works on it. As I know, In Order to get a work permit and 1 year Non-B visa, I need a teacher licence first. But agent just submitted the TL application to MOE on 1 of November. (agent submit document very late)

My questions are: Is there enough time to get 1 year visa for me before 29 of November (how long will I get TL? and how long will I get WP? Is 28 days enough time to have all these process done?) Can I extend my Non-B to 7 or 14 more days?

What action should I take now? Can I start my WP application before getting TL? Can I start to extend my Non-B before getting WP?

I can only give you info regarding matters in Chonburi:

a TL takes approx. 3 weeks.

as soon as you receive your TL you can start application for WP

as soon as you started application for WP you'll receive a kind of note (receipt).

this will make it possible for you to start the extention of your non-immi. B

while your TL is in the process, try to find out what kind of documents the immigration requires, it will save you some time after the TL is submitted.

do the same for the labor department.

don't forget to ask for the number of photocopies and the sizes of the photo's (and quantities)

If you are in the Bangkok Area, you might use the One Stop Service there. Ask them!!

Thank you for your help. What I can do now is prepare those documents which agent will ask for, and wait for the guy from agency to ask for it.....
