The preliminaries then. I am sure there are many experienced teachers that contribute to this board & I would like to ask them to post their experiences, advice, tips, dos & don’ts here, to help those contemplating becoming a teacher in the LoS…

For God sakes make sure you're getting paid enough. Know the going rates and don't sell yourself short. When I started teaching in Thailand in 1991 I was getting paid 150 baht an hour. Can you imagine that? I thought it was a big deal; oh boy my first job! Then I quickly realised after awhile how thoroughly f#####g screwed

I was getting.
