Just before dawn on Monday, Police Major Khunawoot from Banglamung Police Station was called to a house in the Central Park 4 Village after the foreign owner reported a break-in. At the scene, Police were met by Mr. Daniel Nico from Canada and his wife, Khun Ancharitar. They explained the pair were awoken by a commotion on the ground floor of the house. As they cautiously made their way downstairs, the robbers had gone and had taken ATM cards, Credit Cards, a 3 Baht weighted Gold Necklace worth 35,000 Baht, a Nokia Mobile Phone, a carton of 200 cigarettes and 40,000 Baht in cash. The point of entry was a window at the rear of the property. Individual panes of glass were removed from the frame so the robbers could gain entry. Fingerprints were taken from the scene and are now being analyzed by forensic teams. Security Guards and neighbors are now being questioned.
