After several travels to Bangkok, now I am determined to stay in this splendid city more along possible, using a normal tourist visa.

Has been said me that it is sufficient that I make in my country a tourist visa valid 2 months, then when the visa to be about to expire enough to exit from the Thailand in order to go in one adjacent country and re-enter soon after (also the day after), to having, at the moment of re-enter in Thailand, a new visa valid 2 months...

This information is exact?

Someone can explain me in the detail as it must be made?

Thanks. :o

Please include your Nationality as there are different rules.

Under normal circumstances a Single Entry Tourist Visa is good for 60days and a Two Entry Tourist Visa for 2x60days, both are extentable for a further 30days against a fee of THB 1,900.-.

Your information is wrong if it does not include the below. You might be able to cross a border, enter other country and return to receive a 30 day entry but that is limited to 90 days in a six month period.

You can only obtain a visa valid for 60 days from a Consulate so you would have to exit Thailand, enter other country, visit Royal Thai Consulate, submit application for a new visa (as you did in home country) with photo and passport copy, pay fee, pick up next workday afternoon, return to Thailand and receive a new 60 day entry stamp.

Tourist visas are not designed to be used for extended stays and your application(s) could be refused at any time.

Thanks for the answers. I am italian.

Therefore, the difference between a Single Entry Tourist Visa and one Two Entry Tourist Visa is that while with the first one I must exit from the Thailand, go in an adjacent country and make a new visa in a thailandese consulate of the place, with that Two Entry I can avoid to go to the thailandese consulate, is enough to exit for the Thailand and then to re-enter to receive, at the moment of re-enters in Thailand, a new 60 day entry stamp...

It is exact ?

That is exact. Get the 2 entry Visa in Italy. You may even be able to get a 3 entry.

Then when your 1st 60 days are up you can go across the border and come straight back again.
