November 22, 200718 yr Just extended my tourist visa at Bangkok, got the BTS to Chong Nonsi, hopped on a motorcycle taxi (30 Baht) to Suan Plu, entered at 3.55pm, met the helpfull information lady, gave me the right form to fill out and my number to wait and be called. As Im completing the form, my number is called out, walk over to the desk, with my passport (with photo attached using the glue they supply!) and copies of the original visa, photo & Signature page from passport and a copy of the original stamp when I entered plus a copy of my TM Card, 1,900 baht and sat down. Just opened my book to start reading and called to pick up the passport, 7 minutes in total....good effort So if they do read this forum, well done people, excellent work
November 22, 200718 yr Did you get a 30 day extension? Were you asked to show a ticket to establish your departure date?
November 23, 200718 yr I've been down to Bangkok immigration twice in the last 9 months for visa extensions and both times they have been excellent. Very professional, very nice people and never took longer than 30 minutes maximum. They really are a credit to Thailand :-)
November 23, 200718 yr That Suan Phlu office appears to do more volume than any other but those mostly ladies down there really maintain a pleasant groove and just get it done. There was such a mass of people there on my visit I did leave feeling awed. Go girl power.
