PM presides over event for citizens to combat smog and fire in the North

Prime Minister and Minister of Interior General Surayud Chulanont has traveled to Chiang Mai province to preside over the “Citizens Combat Smog and Forest Fires” campaign opening.

The event is considered the first activity the Prime Minister has engaged in since returning from the 13th ASEAN summit in Singapore.

General Surayud will attend to his duties as Prime Minister and stated that he will catch up on situations that arose while he was attending the summit while expressing confidence that the actions of the 111 former Thai Rak Thai executives will have no effect on the upcoming election.

Well, this will be the first time we're gonna vote (ex)TRT.

As for combating smog: Burning leafs and trash is still rampant. It's not like it's hard to find either: follow the smoke.

Still, I guess police have better things to do?

Perhaps he can make a return-visit, sometime early-April, to monitor how his instructions are being carried-out ? :o

But no - since by then he will be out-of-the-job - perhaps not, after all.
