Lao Police Uniform Change .. .

Well as the BiB in Bangkok are going to become the Boys in Beige and Brown - the Lao police force has gone total Beige already! So the local nickname of 'maeng wan kiao' (Greenbottle fly . . and what do flies gather around . . ahem) will no longer be apt!

Personally I think the uniform is a great improvement the green uniforms always looked to much like military and was kind of unfriendly looking to visitors, the beige looks less threatening.

I recently noticed the uniform change too and was delighted: much nicer, in my opinion. I wonder why the change though?
