November 24, 200718 yr Hi there, I am a 30 year old woman from the UK. I hold a university degree in Psychology and have recently qualified as a hypnotherapist and EFT practitioner. I want to know what, if any working visa I can get and for how long. I have started approaching Health Spa's etc in Koh Samui but have not had any replies as yet. I'm thinking I need to sort out a visa first before I approach any more companies. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you Liane
November 25, 200718 yr You need paperwork (job) before a non immigrant visa is likely to be issued. That in itself does not allow work - only a work permit (which allows the actual work) obtained in Thailand does that. You would most likely have to arrive at your expense on a tourist visa and then look for work and then, if found and company qualifies to hire a foreigner, you apply for a work permit with the massive company paperwork required and take that receipt and travel outside the country to obtain a non immigrant B visa that will allow a 90 day stay.

Thanks for that information, it's really helpful.
