I have completed the necessary 'red tape' at UK Embassy/MFA and local Amphur. Although we have got 2 copies of our Thai Marriage certificate, I think the Amphur staff kept my 'stamped&sealed' Affirmation and translation letters.

Do I need them for presentation at my local Immigration Office (Kapchoeng) as they are nowhere to be found and I dont usually throw-away important papers :o

Luckily, the Imm officer there, does know this crazy ferang :D and has already visited my home to deliver Imm papers (gave him thank you bribe, (one he could drink) :D )

Thanks

Dave :D

That paper is kept by the District Office. Immigration should not need that but some offices have asked for a paper that the district office can make for you if required. Do not believe most people are asked for it.

For the life of me. Affirmation for freedom to marry is exactly that.

Not needed for anything else other than getting maried.

No wonder Thailand people call us idiots.

Believe it or not I needed to show it at Samui Immigration on my first extension.

But as said before, Samui is a one off.

Thanks for that Domo22

As the previous poster advised, I too, had read on this very forum within the last week, that the papers I was refering too WERE required at Immigration somewhere in Thailand. Thats why I asked the idiots question.
