Bangkok Segway Tour - Review

Featured Replies

The tour of ancient city with “Thailand Segway Tours” was a disappointing experience from beginning to end, especially considering how very expensive it is (we paid $100 U.S. for half a day!) Our guide arrived half an hour late. The promised transportation was a regular meter taxi. The Thailand Segway tour guide sat in the front and the three of us had to crowd in the back for the 45 minute drive – it was highly uncomfortable. Once we arrived the Segway ride was fun but the guide didn’t have any knowledge of the sites in Ancient City and was generally unpleasant. The lunch (included in the price) was ridiculous and one person’s food didn’t arrive at all for over an hour and the guide didn’t seem to mind. To top it all off the guide put us in a taxi for the drive back to Bangkok. The ride was supposed to be included in the price but to our surprise it wasn’t paid for and we ended up paying ourselves the additional cost of a 45 minute taxi ride. It was also an embarrassing situation to be in. Our recommendation: Segway is a great way to sight see but make sure you do NOT do it with “Thailand Segway Tours.”

The original Thailand Segway Tour Co. was sold 2 years ago to a Swiss firm.
