Small Island Near Phuket ? Where To Go ?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Could you recommend any smaller island near Phuket ?

Don't want to go to Koh Lanta or Koh Pee Pee again so I wonder what are the other islands to visit.

Thanks for help.

I'd suggest that you try the Similan Islands. Much more untouched than the usual places.

Depends upon how much time you have, the season and how comfortable you are spending hours in a long tail boat without seeing land or having your mobile work for hours !

I spent a weekend on Baan Raya - very relaxing but not much to do - a few nice beaches, two hotels, good for snorkelling.

You might to post this on the Phuket Forum and get some more local knowledge.

I'm looking for smaller islands near Phuket, less than 3 hours by boat, but 1 or 2 hours better.

My favorite island in Thailand is Koh Lipe but this time I want to be closer to Phuket airport because I don't have so much time to travel and want to find a new island.

Thanks.

yes, i agree with slackula. ko mapraow is a lovely island.

you could also try ko yao noi. there are some lovely resorts there now, but i will warn you....the island is VERY quiet. if you want total relaxation, you will get it there. its only an hour by boat from bang rong pier.
