Non Immigrant O Melbourne

Featured Replies

Anyone applied for a non imm O from melbourne Thai consul recently? Any success getting a multi entry? Papers required?

Thanks.

JJ

And the reason for non immigrant O visa issue would be? Melbourne is not considered an easy Consulate if that was your question.

Maybe not, but I have never had any problems with them, as I've had many from Melbourne. Mind you, never asked for a multi entry. If you are genuine then nobody should have any worries. "should" being the operative word! Just my few satang worth.

And your non immigrant O visa(s) was issued on what basis and when? Don't mean to be nit picking but the details are really important when we talk about visas and who is providing what.

You seem to have posted 3 years ago about obtaining a non immigrant O visa there 8 years previously but have not seen any recent report.

Got a Non Imm 0 in Melbourne a couple of weeks back, but only 2 entry.

I wanted Multi but they told me it was policy to only issue 1 or 2 entries for this type of visa when you are going to investigate or convert into retirement.

No problem for Multi if you are going to Thailand for direct family contact reasons. I imagine you would require to show paperwork for this.

This I found quite reasonable, even though I would have naturally preferred the Multi.

Have always found the staff in Melbourne a pleasure to deal with. The Australian

Honourary Consul (who is a Dentist) and his Thai wife run the show there with a couple of other Thai staff.

When the Consul is there, it is usually easy to speak with him directly.

The Thai second in charge is also very good and easy and pleasant to speak with on the telephone.

Hope this helps.
