It is very easy as long as the Thai person has enough money to take care of themselves and any emergency while there along with a compelling reason to return to Thailand.

Just make sure the forms are filled out completely and give more than they ask for. I travelled with Thai friend just recently. Make sure you have letter from their job, copies of bank statement, copy of diploma or letter from school and house document and hotel in France. Anything to show that they will be coming back. You will be told to come back in one week. They then tell you yes or no or what is missing. It was amazing to me how many Thai that were at the embassy had documents missing. If yes they say come back with airline ticket and insurance.

We agonized over this for many months before applying but it was no problem. Upon arrival in France they just asked to see the return ticket.

Easy, she got 3 months tourist visa, she showed bank book with at least 100k and property books. I didn't help in anything.
