Tonight at Ratchaphruek show grounds. The guys setting up the fireworks told the wife that the show starts at 1930 and goes for 30 minutes. Enjoy it.

and fireworks for new year 2008? where would that it be?

You might try a table at Pornping Tower's open-air roof-top restaurant ? I think it's called something like 'The Bat Cave'. Take the lift, to left & slightly-behind reception, to the top floor & then up some narrow rickety stairs to reach the roof.
