Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
good advice - but when I asked the Phuket RD official, he had no clue as to what an LTR visa was. He had never heard of such. He stated he would find out and contact my wife (and myself). He never did. Maybe next year, I will 'bang on his (the local RD office) door' again - but its pretty clear to me (albeit based on this one local tax (RD) official) that even the RD officials do not yet know the answer. -

Thailand's Expats Urged to Register with TRD for Tax, Says Expert
It's even easier for me. I wont be filing anything. Annual bank printout, attach P60, put in A4 envelope, mark envelope Thai Tax Year 2024 and stick in a drawer for safekeeping, should someone come knocking at my door for audit purposes. But for those that are unsure. A trip to the RD to ask the question is the best way forward, unless they want to fork out for the Services of a Tax Consultant. -

Best time of day for jomtien immigration?
Best time is always in the morning. An hour before it opens. It's a pain in the A but it's the only way to not spend hours waiting. Jomtien immigration is the worst in the entire country. You should go to Rayong for a day or two and do your extension there. This is what I did last time I was in the area. A went to Chanthaburi for a couple of days. Nice city, super chill immigration office. -
