90-day Report Processing Time

Featured Replies

FYI, I was due on 2 Dec 07, a Sunday, so EMSed the report to Suan Plu on 26 Nov.

It was processed and stamped by Immigration on 3 Dec with a new report date of 1 March 08.

The package was received back at my POBox in Thanyaburi, Pathum Thani, on 17 Dec, real "snail mail" speed.  Can't read the postmark on the envelope to tell when it was dated.

FYI, if you do EMS in your report, BE SURE to save the EMS receipt as proof of mailing. You can tract the package at:

What sort of report ?

If supposed to turn up at Immigration (on year long work permit but have to check in every 90 days, I think) but are a few days late, what happens ? What should one do ?

If you are under 7 days late you should be ok. After that and the fine is 2,000 Baht.

I think you had better get over there quick.

You can do your report at any immigration office if there is a nearer one to where you live.

And in future you can do it by post.

We are talking about 90 day address reports for those on one year extensions of stay. You seem to be talking about re-validating your work permit every 90 days (because you are here on 90 day visa entry rather than one year extensions of stay?). 90 day address reports are only required for those that remain in Thailand for more than 90 days - it is not required for those using 90 day visa entry.

It clearly states at the bottom of the Postal Form in English:

IMPORTANT:

YOU DOCUMENTS CANNOT BE PROCESSED IF YOU HAVE PASSED THE 90 DAY'S LIMIT.

YOU MUST COME TO THE NEARIST IMMIGRATION OFFICE OR ROOM 206 IMMIGRATION BUREAU IN PERSON TO PAY FINE 2,000 BAHT

IMMIGRATION OFFICER

TEL: 02-2855142

Confusing !

Have a work permit & work-related 1 year visa but have to report To Immigration every 90 days.

Health problem means I will be a few days late. Trouble or not ?

Do you fill out a TM.47 address report when you visit Immigration? You can have someone else make the visit if you authorize it. More than 7 days late will result in a 2,000 baht fine which could be up to 5,000 baht and 500 baht per day late so it is not something you want to miss if you don't have to.

Yes, that form.

Thanks, feel less concerned now.
