Ugly Manequins Used In Thai Clothing Stores

Featured Replies

Ever notice how ugly the manequins are, used in Thai clothing stores? They do nothing to enhance the clothingl they advertise. No

matter how big or small the store is it's always the same ugly ones with the big smile. And they always seem to be damaged or somehow abused.

You'd think the large dept. stores could do better.

picky, bitchy thread? Maybe!

I remember the Dr. Who episode where the mannequins came to life. I hid behind the sofa for most of it. If the thai ones came to life i would be too busy laughing to be scared :o

Mannequin abuse on the rise in Chiang Mai? :o

They look like more victims of The Joker to me, maybe we should get Bruce Wayne over here to sort it out.

Why is it you never see any for the larger framed bodies...

We see more than enough in the beer bars !

All those silly old farts who can afford booze and birds but not a decent/clean set of clothes.

Naka.

This post is quite interesting actually IMO. It shows us the difference in tastes and perceptions of what looks good and what doesn't, regarding Thai & Farang.

My mother when in BKK commented that those mannequins looked hideous and put her off looking at the clothes. I think they look stupid as well, possibly even frightening for youngsters :o

I mean somebody must have looked at these things and said 'these look great, I think I'll fill my whole clothes shop with them.'

And in true Thai fashion, everybody else followed suit. What do you think ?

OH MY!! THAT IS HIDEOUS!!!! Waiting for the local kateoys following suit, wanting to look as pretty as the mannequins

Caricatures of "white beauty" ?

Think it is simply fun - not meant to look at the mannequin, just the clothes.

Why is it you never see any for the larger framed bodies...

Probably because the main bulk of the consumers in this country are still the locals?

Scary! :o

Yes, it is SCARY!

Fell off my chair laughing, but there is a striking resemblance.

Wonder if Michael can collect a commission?
