Korat Immigration & Translation

Featured Replies

Has Korat Immigration moved location? Last time here I thought they were opposite to "Big C" near main bus station!

Also, looking for translation services here as well. Have recommendation for Lawyer Service from Isaan Forum, but some of these legal firms tend to be quite highly priced. Like, more than 1000Baht for a simple Thai Birth Certificate to be translated into English.

Same job in Bangkok costs only 200-300Baht!

Yes they have moved to the TOT building that is located south of town on highway to Bangkok. Its about 7-8 km south of the Sima Thani Hotel on left side of road as your going south. Multi floor building (5-6 floors maybe) so easy to spot.

Thanks for info on Korat Immigration.

Have all but given up though on getting a simple translation done in Korat.

All we need done is a Thai to English translation of a 5 year old child's Birth Certificate. This is needed for the child to have a medical for an Australian Spouse Visa application.

Have trudged around this town for 2 days and the best we can come up with is a few day turn-around and costing near 1000 Baht. (And this was with "Isaan Lawyers")

So will bus it back to Bangkok, near Consular Affairs office, can be done at several places for 200 - 300 Baht and in about 30 minutes.

Ridiculous for such a large city in the LOS!!
