Rhodiebkk Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Whilst seriously contemplating a performance , am interested in finding out if it is possible to retrofit an aftermarket Cruise Control on my Fortuna Smart. I called K Motors but they say they have nothing and know of nothing that could be fitted. If anyone knows of a reliable & safe kit available here do please let me know. Only that it would be a great help on runs to Chiang Mai & Phuket .
uwe_rayong Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Hi Rhodiebkk, I'm also interested in Cruise Control for my Vigo 3.0 Auto. I know that the 3.0 Version of the Vigo comes at least in Australia and Germany with OEM Standard Cruise Control. So the parts must be available in Thailand. Maybe Mikethevigoman knows more? Uwe
esprit Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Yes I would be interested in hearing of it's availibility too if anyone out there can advise
torrenova Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Has anyone tried to contact Toyota in UK, Japan, Oz etc. I know here they are <deleted> but these people might help. I got some help from Isuzu in the UK and Europe.
wilko Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 There don't apear to be any figures on how many accidents occur whilst the vehicle is in cruise control...i personally think they are one of the most dangerous features that are still legal on a car. Furthermore I have driven extensively around Thailand and have never encountered a single stretch of road that lends itself to cruise control. please let me knw oif you get one fitted and give me your vehicle details, so I know who to avoid in future.
