After returning home from Bangkok in the evening of the 22nd December,

Mr. Bjarne Jensen and Miss Susanne Pedersen,Danish tourists, and their

family had the shock of their lives to find that their rented townhouse had

been burgled. A neighbour called the police for them and officers were soon

on the scene to find that the house had been ransacked. The thieves had

gained entry via the roof above the kitchen and stole a DVD player and all

their clothes, jewelry and mobile phones all worth approximately 102,600 baht.

Foreign tourists on holiday all too often the primary target for thieves. Family

takes brief trip to Bangkok, so inside knowledge has it there is a safe window

of opportunity and the thieves/friends help themselves to family's belongings. :o

how many mobile phones were there in this family per member?

I do carry one with me all the time, don't have the second or third one leaving them around at home.

100k? they obviously have insurance and need a report and that's why its blown waaay out. dvd plater 3000 bht. cheap leave at home second mobiles 1200bht. Clothes for Pattaya (flip flops, singha t shirts, shorts, topless swim suits) priceless!! :o

Approximately 102,600 Baht? Sounds a very precise approximation. Approximately 100,000 Baht yes but to get it within even 1000 Baht gives you an approximation to within 1%. The bloke must be a top flight quantity surveyor. Why is it that the odour of a large rodent springs to mind.

the amount equals to 17500 DKK, and is a minor amount.

That idea that most foreigners are attempting to file false insurance claims is

popular (even with the police i'm afraid). I didn't notice that at first but that

is peculiar how they came up with that exact amount 102.6K? In the photos

the couple does look heartbroken. Stealing peoples clothes is pretty low. :o

say, the victims filled the rounded claim for 17500 DKK, which is roughly 102.6k baht

What a brilliant choice for a family to go to such an infamous place like Pattaya for holidays.

I wonder why the crystal clear water at the beach and the peaceness of this town attract so many tourists. I should have missed something. :o

Personal opinion, largely irrelevant and off topic. BTW, <deleted> is peaceness when it's at home!

102000 baht for 3 people - including clothes etc is peanuts ( i have a leather jacket, suit and shoes to that value)

The spitefull types always rear their heads to spit their poison

Nasty creatures
