Car Hire

Can anyone direct me towards a good place to start looking for a car hire. I am returning to Thailand after a year away. I sold my car and was debating to buy another one on my return. But as I will only be in Thailand for a 5 month period to save on the hassle I thought would go for renting instead. I am looking for nothing flash just a economy car for rent over a 5 month period. Any ideas where to look, do local companies have better deals than international ones.... Don't know if it makes a difference but I hold a Thai driving licence.

Just hired from Q car rental in Bangkok for a few months while i wait for my new car , their prices were the best compared to others companies i checked out , the interentional companies definetly the most expensive ,deposit was thb 4000, only thing is car hired has around 60,k on it, still 3 years old , whilethe international companie snormally have low k newer cars
