Churches In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hey Ya'll, :D

I'v been searching google.co.th for some information and locations of established churches in Thailand, but it's not so easy.

At the moment I dont mind attending any church, but I prefer Non-denominational or Presbyterian.

I would like to know if there's any member who know of some good churches that I could attend?

I prefer attending a Thai church (a chance to improve my Thai and make Thai friends), as long as they have English translation simultaneously.

I live in Lat Krabang (near to KMITL) right now, but I dont mind catching the train, bus or taxi to get to church on Sundays, as long as it ain't tooooooo far..

Any help in advance would be fantastic! :o

There are a lot of Christians in Thailand, and quite a few Thai language churches in Bangkok. There used to be a very vibrant congregation in Soi 19, somewhere, do not know if it is still there.

I suggest that you contact one of the established churches, for example, Christ Church in Soi Convent, I am sure that somebody there could help you find a compatible Thai speaking congregation.

May you find what you are looking for.

There is a nice Catholic Church at the Chao Praya river, next to the River City Shopping Center. I don't know the name of the church but the street name is Charoen Krung. Turn right coming down from Silom in direction of Oriental and Sheraton hotels.

Hi Onnutrd,

I am a fairly regular worshipper at Christ Church in Convent Road (just on the corner of Sathorn Rd.).

It is basically follows an Anglian/non denominational form of worship and am very happy to recommend it now that we have a very nice English vicar. If you want to read about it you can do so on www.christchurchbangkok.org .

If you are coming from outside Bangkok probably the most suitable services for you would be:-

In English - 10.00 a.m. usually Sung Holy Communion - followed by coffee & then lunch, if you want,

which is what I go to - multi national and friendly

or

In Thai - 3.00 p.m. Thai language service (BUT I know nothing about this as I go to 10.00 a.m.)

I am sure that you would be made very welcome as would any other readers!!

I think there is one in Soi Ruamrudee.

That one is Roman Catholic, I believe. Astral
