I think I agree with siamesekitty.

First off, every odd card (1,3,5.7,9) would then have its preceding card on it's right, and would have a card worth 10 on it's left (except the 5, which would now be on the end).

That second part is, I think, the reason why the answer doesn't appear to be to move the 9 to the 8.

The cards are in alphabetical order;

Eight,

Five,

Four,

Jack, etc.

Apart from the ace.

ps i just thought it is like in stock VS out of stock. (as in order VS out of order , pun way)

In stock, available for sale or use, on hand, as in We have several dozen tires in stock. The antonym, out of stock, means "not available for sale," usually only temporarily. For example, This item is out of stock now, but we expect a new order next week.
