My wife and I will be in CM for about 4 or 5 days the first week of March and we have been looking at where we might stay. Now I see that comfort and amenities differ from person to person but what we basically are looking for is a place that is close in so that we can walk to most places. Have good beds, not hard nor lumpy and and also be clean. A/C and thick walls so we don’t hear everything going on upstairs or next door. Safe neighborhood. And doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

Please don’t tell me to stay home and check into the local Best Western. And I hope we are not asking too much. Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd agree with the Montri. Just make sure to ask for a mountain-view room as the rooms at the front suffer from traffic noise.
