I am kinda so-so on this one. taken with 10.5mm Lens

If foreground has some nice coral / feather stars or something, would have been better. Like the boat and divers in safety stop above.

Great visibility for diving... where was it taken?

I think the fish was in the wrong place.

No problem, just get him to move over and closer like this.

That's great - tell us how you did it. Use the new forum of "Photoshop tips and skills"

I'd love to be able to do this

No problem I just dropped down the animal selection toolbar, chose fish / marine/ new layer. Freshwater is the default, I don't know why.

Then I moved to the composition menu: I checked use all layers, and set it to informal balance but allowed 50% on the sponataneous effect slider. This is the reason the fish is larger and rotated slightly

Then it was only a matter of replacing the hole where the fish was, I put a 5 minute history filter on the original layer, allowing the computer to replace the hole with what it would have looked liked just five minutes earlier. It turns out the boat had moved a bit in those five minutes so I had to fudge it around a bit. :o

Ok I'm just goofing around, I will try to remember my steps and post something in the tips forum.Where is the tips forum?

Was that natural reaction after you had seen the original?

canuckamuck,

Change ur name to Harry Potter or Dumbledoor. Thats magic, and wish the fish really was there for the shot.

If u have ever shot a 10.5mm, then u will know how close u need to get to the banner fish ( or morish idol ?? ), and how skittish they are.

Location was Similans Islands ( or richaleu, or Ko Bon... some where around there anyway )
