Help For A Newbie

Featured Replies

Hi all.

I'm trying to locate a village in the Kalisan Province. I have a detailed Thai map but I'm not having any success in locating it.

The place I'm looking for is.

Ban Bungkla

Baukhao Subdistrict

Kuchinarai District

I know it's about 3k from a town that has at least 2 hotels & at least one Secondary School. I appreciate that this it pretty limited detail but thought someone might be able to help me. Is it possible that the town is called Kuchanarai ?

Any assistance will be most appreciated.

Thanks.

Mal.

Do you mean Amphur Kuchanarai?

In which case the town may well be Bua Khao, and it seems so from the address

Look here Bua Khao and scroll down

malt25, I found it on my ThinkNet Map Magic CD. It is a small village about 3.75 Km south of Bua Khao on Hwy.2046. This is the highway that goes from Kuchinarai to Phong Thong. Bua Khao is the main town of Kuchinarai sometimes they are referred to as the same place, but Bua Khao is the town Kuchinarai is the district and has many smaller towns and villages. If you look on any decent map look for Kalasin and then look to the east and you will see Kuchinarai, it is at the cross roads of hwy 2042 and hwy 2046 and hwy 2291. This crossroads is called Bua Khao, pronounced Boa Khao, and spelled different ways sometimes as one word sometimes two. My home is only 22 kilometres from there if you need any other information. Just to say a big thank you to Issangeorge for putting me onto the ThinkNet Map Magic CD. After weeks of searching and money wasted on inadequate maps the Thinknet stuff did the trick. I now know where the house and land the Boss had bought is. Cheers mate. Now al I've got to do is go bach there a finish of the house.
