Thai License Plates

Featured Replies

Thai car license plates look pretty cool, and I'd like to have one for the car(s) back home and/or to show. Is there any source of them in BKK? While new is not necessary, fairly nice ones are desired, not all bent up like a truck plate, etc.

I'm not seeing any in the usual tourist places and know I'm not looking in the right place. Have to go to a junkyard? A Thai shop somewhere? [ please don't suggest stealing one. :o ]

They won't directly screw on due to size but I can adapt.

Would enjoy people's reactions.......

I saw a shop on Sukhumvit with a whole lot at the front. Never asked, but sure if they had so many display ones, you could get one.

The shop is in a funny place, and it is not close.

Take the BTS and get off at On-Nut. Take a Taxi.

If you go up to about Soi 105 and do a U-Turn, you will be travelling back towards central Bangkok.

You will see a car wash etc. Then there is a temple just after you cross the klong. The shop is just near the klong. It is before the main Bangkok - Pattaya road. So if you get to the big junction, you have gone too far.

Remember not many shop-keepers up there speak English.
