Bees In The Trees.

Featured Replies

We also have those bees in a mango tree. The wife took a compass and found out that they are oriented in east-west direction. According to her mother this is bad, so she tried to chase them away. The bees were chasing the wife after.... :o

They never hung around for long. They need something like a hollow tree trunk to establish a hive in.

Our house keeper headed for them with a stick as well until I warned her off.

There was a honey comb falling off from the tree over night.

Mrs. raro tried to chase them with burning paper underneath the tree this morning. The bees were not impressed. Keep you posted...

Not exactly bees in trees but interesting non the less. Saw these guys at a temple near our village today.

That's a really neat little temple. Ours is a little more ornate. Nice deer on the gates.

Nice photos!

But I personally like the Wat with the bees in the eaves (I'm a po8, I know it....lol).

Where there are bees, as noted above, there is Honey. :o

Honey is always a good thing, IMHO.

Latest update and/or correction:

Some of those attack mutant africanized honey bees (just kidding!) from CR have migrated south...had a swarm attack me tonight on my balcony in Chiang Mai. Got tagged on the foot, no biggie, cleaned and treated the wound, but it is still swelling.....

We should all be thankful I suppose for swollen things!? :o

Though my maternal grand dad was a professional bee-keeper, and I profess a love of honey....I am not so disposed towards kindness when thinking about bees, right now, at least.... :D

Overmoderation, perhaps. :o
