Out of Bangkok... 10 billion.

Into your country...

For the US and Canada the limit before a duty to declare it is $10,000.

I imagine the UK has a similar value.

I believe that the UK-limit was recently reset to 10,000 Euros, or the equivalent, in cash. Interesting that the limit is in Euros - not Sterling !

In Thai Baht: 50,000

But you can buy Euro's, Sterling, US$ whatever, then the limit is if I recall correctly 20,000 US$ or equivalent.

This was not so long ago (few months) raised from 10,000 US$.

Definitely bringing in, however not 100% sure about getting it out.

It does, unless you have special permission from somebody or other (cant remember who)

As someone said, why take out Baht, you will get a c*** rate in the UK to change to Sterling.

But, is there some limit to the amount of baht you can change into Sterling at Banks in Thailand? E.g. if I walk into a bank with 200,000 baht and want to change to Sterling, will they do it?

Anyone tried?

Go to a money-changer, not a bank. No limits.
