Will Warhammer have a naming policy? Wow had all kinds of silly names for guilds. I dont mind if they do have a restriction, Im just thinking they probably do not. Bangkok Brawlers just sounds tougher and rougher, like a bunch of Dwarf roughnecks (who happen to be from Bangkok) who get drunk and bash in orc heads. But it does have a very distinct recognisable name in it, the double B sounds good though. Siam assault is a little less aggressive but is a bit more subtle with recognisable names. Seriously I just thought those up, nobody else has any good ideas?

I like the Siam but the Assault isn't that funky imo. Siam Assassins sounds smoother and pretty nice to me.

Im sure we wont be able to use city or country names. They have a very strict naming policy and even the word king and god is forbidden in guild names.

So how do we decide? Its kinda hard to always throw new names out there and then slowly talk via this forum about it. We are just about 6 people who play right now so if everyone has their own personal favorite we won't get anywhere.

How about that... We take some of the "favorites" and just make a poll for everyone here at thaivisa to vote for that. I explain a bit that this is for an online game "team" (aka guild) and limit the poll to 3 days. In the end we will have name...

Keep reconnecting. My usual ping to that server is from 250-350. I've done several tracert tests and found that usually the traffic goes through hong kong before hitting australia (which creates the lag). However, there are 2-3 IP addresses where the traffic goes through Singapore, through their own internet gateways there, directly to Australia, giving you amazing latency:

I've tried before to talk to True about this, but I haven't managed to get through to someone knowledgable enough to work this out. I'd like to get this IP address every time I dial up to True (PPPOE). 180ms and 300ms in an MMO make a huge difference. Heck, 180ms is virtually instant, while 300ms is quite noticable.

The dynamic IP I had for this test was 124.122.161.1

Hi guys I only signed up for this forum because I found this thread through Google.

I didnt know there was this many other farangs like me playing mmorpg's in Thailand I have lived here for 4 years

I never played an MMORPG before moving here

Games I have Played:

=Lineage2 Official Thai server played for about 2 years and then sold my account-->> Communication on Thai servers is not that bad,

There are a lot of Thais that can read and type English and you meet a few other farangs also you can get pretty popular being a farang lol.

=Lineage Private server have been playing on and off on a private server for a long time.

(If you like pvp then you will like L2)

=LOTRO its ok didnt really like it much was a little cheesy imo

=GuildWars played till lvl 20 very fun game for awhile but pvp sux very bad if you like soloing or just PVE its a very fun game great graphics

=WOW Played retail but didnt have enough time for the grind and the time some aspects of the game took.

So I switch to the #1 WOW Private Server this server is the best out there they have 400k accounts always at least 6k+ players online player cap is 8k

They have 3 servers 1 that is like retail but rates are x5 i think then they have the server i like thats x15 rates.

Now the pound is in free fall I will not be going out that much........ MMORPG may be the way forward along with a few beers from the local shop !! I tried WOW once but lost interest - I couldnt compete with all those buying up stuff outside the game.

Anyone know of a game where it is near impossible to buy yourself up the rankings using real life cash ?

Sorry to hijack the thread, but talking about Warhammer online reminded me of Warhammer RPG. Does anyone do pen and paper RPGs here? I've been reading some of the reviews about 4th edition D&D, and it seems like they've made it more usable. I gave up on D&D during the 1st edition and moved to Warhammer for its simplicity, but I haven't played for about 15 years.

Are there even any gaming stores here? I left all my sourcebooks on the other side of the planet!
