Hi! I have a question... This month i'm flying from London to Sydney with stopover at BKK airport. I supose, but i'm not sure, that i don't need Thai visa. Can I enter to the airport building and then go back to the airplane without Thai visa? Thanx!

If you have british passport, then you can do that without a visa as long as you have not been in Thailand for 90 days without a visa in the previous 6 months

Assuming that you are as you said 'in transit' i would assume that you will stay airside on your trip and would not exit customs/immigration so therefore no visa required.

Last time i did the Lon - Syd run I only spent about 2 hours on the inside of Suwanna and sinced I had used my TG air miles etc and did the whole journey at the front of the Budgie I was quite happy just to rough it for the stopover in the ROCI First Class lounge....although must admit I did not have the Spa treatment...prefered the G & T.instead.

On the return leg from Syd I just left Bangkok Airport on normal 30 VOA and jumped onto the local bus to the hoose in Samut Prac.for my usual 2 week jolli.. :D

Just in case ...and if you have the time ...there used to be a Town (Bus) Tour that you could jump on for a quick visit to Krungthrep without needing a visa ( same as Singapore) but dont know if they ..assume TAT... are still doing it.... :o

Actually it sounds as if the plane lands in Bangkok and then proceeds to Sydney and he is asking if he is allowed to deplane to transit lounge and then return to aircraft without a visa? That would be up to the airline policy/amount of ground time involved. We can't be more specific without more details.

Or are you asking about a several day stopover? Or a change of airlines? Which airlines? Your passport country?

Sounds like a simple (few hours) transit stop in which case a visa would not be required.

If you only have a single flight booking Lon/Syd then it is.

Naka.

Most likely you will be asked to deplane and come back. It's rather a short stop, they used to warn people not to go to Biz class lounge as there is no enough time.

Of course, it's the transit part of the airport building, air side shops etc. You don't need any visa.

Some airlines are not allowing transit passengers to deplane,

as they loose people and this delays the departure.
