I just read this on Thai visa

is this not same as the capital? vientien? (sorry for the spelling) and also it mentions how to get a Non-O, I can supply all those documents, but it dont mention anything about proof of money in the bank or proof of making 40K a month, does this mean that if i supply those documents, that i might be able to get a Non-o or is this just the minimum nedded documents

if this is not vientien, is it easier?

I have a visa run commin in about a week, i would be interested in more information

No Savannakhet is not the same as Vientiane (the capital). It is a city located in the south portion of Laos and was over run by visa seekers last year and has been rather restrictive lately in order to cut down the applications (very small Consulate). Vientiane currently appears to be the Consulate of choice out of all in the region.

Income is not normally required for single entry visa - a few consulates will issue multi entry using that as a factor.
