Tourist Visa Extension - Only One Week?

A friend of a friend says that Bangkok immigration is only giving one or two week extensions for a 60 day tourist visa. The source seems reliable. Any other reports?

This has been reported sometimes if you do not have an outbound ticket for the end of the 30 day period.

Have not seen any such report from Bangkok. They have been providing 30 day extensions on tourist visas without questions being asked from reports here. Some other offices have required proof of outbound ticket within the 30 day period to issue - only providing 7 days without.

Do not believe there is any chance Bangkok is providing two week extensions - they were stopped long ago.
