Hi everyone, I know that gambling is illegal here but what if it is only for show? Not using any money. I want to set up a casino theme party and have my guests playing with fake money coins etc. Will I get in trouble with the authorities or can I get a special license for this?

I have known Thais pay 5k and more for being caught at cards.. A whole bunch of farangs.. can you just imagine how much the MiB eyes would light up..

Dont forget if a Thai shops you the cops can split the fines (of which I think they get 30%) with them.. The girls I know who play cards often complain of each other shopping groups and collecting police kickbacks.

Why don't you have the party on a boat?

actually it will be on a boat!! And we have the police as security, maybe something has been worked out already behind the scenes.
