Your best bet is Pantip, but you could almost get one at any computer shop. Most places will also have a generic power cable/voltage regulator that can be adapted to use with your laptop. You simply dial in the voltage needed by your laptop and plug it in. These units tend to be a bit bigger and more clunky than OEM stuff.

So you want more then just a cable you need the brick (ie power supply) itself.  The power ratings are listed on the old brick and IMO you should find an hp outlet they are all over thailand and use an OEM brick they don't cost that much.  hp outlets do maint. repair and parts for compaq.

Pantip is on Petchaburi Road, any taxi will take you to "Pantip Plaza". Alternatively there's another IT mall at Fortune Town (Pha-ram 9 on the metro).

Take your dead PSU with you, there are several of shops doing look-alike units :o

THB 400 - 500 by Amorn at Old Siam Departmentstore in Bangkoks China Town near Ban Mor!

THB 1,000 up at Pantip Plaza or other IT-Malls.

Cheers.

Make sure both voltage and current ratings match or you may end up with a flaming power brick.
