The labour Department is located outside Surratthani half way to Ban Na Sarn.

Coming form the ferry drive towards Surat, then turn at the big crossing left towards Punphin/Chumporn (its called the bypass) pass Big C and contiue about another 5km to the next large crossing, turn left follow the sign to Ban Na Sarn. The Labor department is about 5 km away on the left hand side, large Official Building. There are two of them, one the is the Labour Court. Ask there.

Good luck

Sure.

What do you think of changing it to list all important govt offices on Samui, Phangan and the mainland?

Good idea 99. I had someone asking where the Samui Public Prosecutors Office was this morning, and luckily I knew. He was thinking it was at the other end of the island. Cheers

This might be applicable to this thread. Recently I have just found out that there is a roving work permit office (not the right word - I apologise) that comes to Nathon government offices every wednesday. We were told there was no point going to Surat Thani and that everything can be done there. Haven't tested it out yet so wouldn't take that as gospel but would certainly save a lot of hassle if it is true. I think you have to call to make an appointment.
